Privacy statement
GLOBE Europe is Official importer of the following quality brands: URKO Clamping Tools, Lenox band saws and Globe grinding wheels.
When offering these products and services, data are processed. The processing of this data is usually (technically) necessary to enable our services.
The privacy statement explains how GLOBE Europe handles the data it holds. In addition, you can read which data we process why and what rights you have.
Who is responsible for processing your data
GLOBE Europe only offers business services. This means that BJC Tools generally only provides products and services to companies. In many cases, the company you work for is responsible for the use of your data. We have made mutual agreements on careful handling of your data. More information on these agreements can be obtained from your employer.
Which personal data GLOBE Europe processes
In this section you will find an overview of the data used per service. An explanation per column:
- Service type: for which service data is used. ‘General’ column contains data used for multiple services or not processed for a service.
- Type of data: which data are processed.
- Retention periods: how long the data are retained.
- Controller: who is responsible for the data. ‘Instructing party’ means the organisation to whom we provide our services and from whom we have received your data.
- Reason for use: on what legal basis the data is used.

How personal data is used
Firstly, GLOBE Europe processes your data for the provision of products and services. To provide you with information regarding a price or delivery date, GLOBE Europe needs to have your e-mail address or telephone number.
In addition, GLOBE Europe uses data when offering a solution to your technical problems.
Your data are also used to improve the security of our network, for example by adjusting our firewalls or spam filter.
Finally, your data are used to optimise our products and services and improve our website.
With which parties personal data is shared
For the provision of certain services, GLOBE Europe uses third parties. Insofar as these parties have access to your data in the performance of these services, GLOBE Europe has taken contractual and organisational measures so that your data is processed solely for the above purposes. If a supplier is located outside Europe[1], GLOBE Europe guarantees that the processing of your data is subject to the same safeguards as if it were processed by a supplier in Europe.
GLOBE Europe is obliged in some situations to hand over your data to the authorities, for example in the context of a criminal investigation.
What rights you have
Based on European privacy legislation, you have several rights that you can exercise in relation to your data. This section describes your rights. If you want to exercise one or more rights, please contact us. You can do so by sending a letter to our address or by sending an e-mail. In order to process your request, GLOBE Europe needs at least the following information from you:
your full name;
your address;
a copy of a valid proof of identity (make sure to watermark the copy and cover the Citizen Service Number).
In order to safeguard your rights, it may in some cases be necessary to receive additional information from you.
Access to your data
You have the right to know which of your data is processed by GLOBE Europe. You can submit a request for access by letter or e-mail to us. Our contact details can be found at the bottom of this page.
Correction of your data
If the data in GLOBE Europe’s possession is incorrect, you can have the incorrect data corrected. Please contact us for this purpose. We expect you to indicate in your message or letter which data is incorrect and how it should be corrected.
Objection and deletion of your data
In certain cases, you can request us to stop processing your data and delete it. Such a request is possible, for example, if you no longer use our services or you have serious objections to the processing of your data. If you have serious objections to the processing of your data, we expect you to indicate in your request what your objections are.
Restriction of processing
If you want to correct or delete your data, you can – during the time your request is pending with us – have the processing temporarily stopped. Despite a possible restriction, we may continue to store your data. When it becomes clear that your request is justified we will implement your request. If GLOBE Europe considers that your request is unfounded, the processing of your data will be resumed.
Transfer of your data
You can request a copy of your data held by us. The copy will concern only the data we have processed with your consent. We will provide the copy in a common file format.
Filing a complaint with the regulator
Are you not satisfied with the way GLOBE Europe safeguards your privacy? Please contact us so that we can find a solution together. You can also submit a complaint to the regulator, the Personal Data Authority.
Withdrawing consent
If you have given consent for the processing of your data, you can withdraw this consent at any time. Withdrawing consent can be done, for example, in the settings menu of the application if this application has asked for consent. It is not necessary to send GLOBE Europe a letter or e-mail informing it that you are withdrawing your consent.
